Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity of financial reporting, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and supporting strategic decision-making. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in month-end close, account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and process improvements.

Schedule:

First shift, full-time hours. Specific work hours will be established in consultation with your supervisor.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare, analyze, and review general ledger journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and healthcare industry standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial statements and reports.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including revenue cycle, operations, and compliance.
  • Support audits (internal and external) by providing required documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvements, and best practices within the accounting function.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls, healthcare financial regulations, and company policies.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., Multiview, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, or similar).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Preferred: CPA or CPA candidate.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
