Salary:

$52,000 - $54,000 / yr.

Schedule:

Standard operating hours are 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; Monday-Friday. Please note work hours may fluctuate depending on business needs, flexibility is required.

Job Summary:

This position provides functional Human Resource operations support specific to the areas of Employee Relations, Benefits, HRIS, and leave administration, working closely with and reporting to the Human Resources Business Partner.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Conducts timely and accurate processing of status changes for pending new hires and existing employees in HRIS/payroll system including, but not limited to, data entry, workflow management, mass uploads, pay increases, bonuses, and auditing employee level data.
  • Conducts data integrity audits to confirm data accuracy in the HRIS system and performs necessary corrections or updates.
  • Assists in the identification and implementation of HRIS improvements to reduce operating deficiencies and increase efficiency and user experience.
  • Collaborates with other departments, including Payroll and IT to resolve complex employee data recording, reporting or workflow challenges.
  • Provides monthly and ad-hoc reporting as required.
  • Create and implement Employee Surveys as directed, assisting in the analysis of results, compiling data to assess trends, creating related communications, tracking action items that result from data received.
  • Creates employee communications to include Employee Newsletter, new HR program or policies announcements. Disseminate information via distribution of employee booklets, communications, and/or scheduling of employee meetings.
  • Support annual Benefit Open Enrollment activities.
  • Coordinate new hire and newly eligible benefit communication and enrollments in a timely manner to meet requirements of plan documents.
  • Resolve day-to-day issues and answer employee benefit questions working closely with benefit carriers, brokers, advisors and/or TPA, as applicable.
  • Track unemployment claims and reports on trends and concerns.
  • Communicates with employees regarding their responsibilities and of any documentation and notice required to qualify for and to take leave.
  • Handle the FMLA leave administration process from the employee’s initial notice of the need for leave to the return to work, to include gathering and completing all required paperwork, determining leave eligibility, designating leave as FMLA-qualifying, requesting medical certification as needed, and tracking intermittent and reduced schedule leave use.
  • Maintain reasonable communication with employees on leave to facilitate smooth and timely return to work; relay communication between employees and their managers during leave within reason.
  • Work with HR and Operational leadership to administer the return-to-work process for employees returning from extended FMLA, or personal leave.
  • Facilitate other leave requests, which may include accommodation requests under the ADA.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records of leave and accommodation requests.
  • Preserve confidentiality of employee medical documentation and files
  • Maintains the HR SharePoint folder.
  • Maintain knowledge of all applicable leave and accommodation laws including the FMLA, ADA, and state and local laws.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Excel, and Word. Experience working with HRIS and ATS is required.
  • Must be able to deal tactfully and patiently with personnel, participants, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
  • Ability to organize work and follow through on assigned tasks.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and networking skills.

Education and Experience:

  • 4-year degree in HR, Health Care Management/Administration, Business, or another related field.
  • Familiarity with office etiquette, procedures, and MS Office software.
  • Prior experience with Indeed, Relias Training, and applicant tracking systems preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience with HRIS and/or Payroll systems in a healthcare environment.
  • One year of experience working with the frail or elderly population.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of background check, physical, drug screening, TB Screening.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access various departments of a given location.
  • May include occasional overnight travel for in-service training programs, temporary coverage for another Center, etc.
  • Must be able to drive a motor vehicle.
